Questions, Questions with My Love!

I discovered I'm not good at lifting over two tons, flying, or swimming in dirt....

My husband and I are pretty low key people. We're just real with one another, and we're best friends. Ahhh... How I love him!

A friend of mine posted this survey for women to ask their husbands. In a "20ish question" type game, I questioned my darling about myself. Sometimes, looking through the eyes of a loved one can help us to see ourselves better. We had several laughs, and I am amazed at how gracious my dear husband is toward me!

I'll share this so you can get to know me a little better through a very biased person, but also, the person who knows me best!

No worries, I edited out anything not public appropriate! (Married people can have fun... no judgment!!)

**Thoughts on marriage: I have to get to know my spouse- over and over again because we change and grow as human beings. I feel that I have changed dramatically from wife to wife and mother. I know that he has also experienced change. I am interested in my husband, and I want to know what interests him. To do that, I must observe him and talk with him. I get to DATE my handsome man! (He is STILL the most handsome man I have ever seen.) Dating your spouse doesn't have to be an out of the house deal. Just get comfortable and spend quality time together.

At our wedding ceremony- just being goofy!

1. What is something your wife always says to you?
-I love you.

2. What makes your wife happy?
-Kisses.

3. What makes your wife sad?
-No kisses.

4. How does your wife make you laugh?
-Uh... When you do or say something funny? I don't know.

5. What was your wife like as a child?
-I didn't know you as a child.

6. How old is your wife?
-22

7. How tall is your wife?
- .... Haha Agh! I know this! I can't think- I want to say 5'9, but I know that's not right.... Agh... The top of your head is at the bottom of my chin. That's how tall you are.

8. What is her favorite thing to do?
- ....

I love kissing my man!!

9. What does your wife do when you're not around?
- Nurse, clean, and organize-- and watch Beverly Hillbillies!

10. If your wife becomes famous, what will it be for?
-Either teaching or organization- or no, either teaching or homesteading.

11. What is your wife really good at?
- (Big smile)- uh, you're good at a lot of things. You're a good conversationalist, .... , a good cook, good with children, very ambitious and thoughtful of others, people skills and work ethic, even in the home. What are you not good at? That's the question, and that'll narrow it down. Great theologian, good at cooking, housecleaning, organization. You can add gardening on the list now. You're a very virtuous woman to say the least!

12. What is your wife not very good at?
-(Silence.) You're not good at lifting things over two tons. You're not good at flying or swimming through dirt, uh, mind reading, or speaking your mind. You're not good at being selfish.

13. What does your wife do for a job?
-Home maker, homesteader- you steady our home for us, baby- thank you!

14.What is your wife's favorite food?
-Vietnamese.

15.What makes you proud of your wife?
-Your spirit.

Goofy with the wedding drink!

16. If your wife were a character, who would she be?
-(Silence) I'm stuck on maybe like a lady on Little House on the Prairie.

17. What do you and your wife do together?
- (Big smile) We have fun in many, many ways. Hike, cook, eat, socialize, explore either city or country, research homesteading and Biblical studies, or have other conversations and study about them.

18. How are you and your wife the same?
-That's a hard question- we're both tall. Like food. Like a simple, godly life. Like to be living on purpose- intentionally.

19. How are you and your wife different?
-Wow. That would be a very long list.

20. How do you know your wife loves you?
-Again, that would be a very long list. You take care of me in many, many ways. And you like to make me ice cream.
- I've never made you ice cream!
- (Big, hopeful smile.)

21. What does your wife like most about you?
-My good looks- joking. I don't know- why don't you ask my wife? (I told him after the survey!!)

22. Where is your wife's favorite place to go?
- ..... I'm joking. Um, home to nurse. Joking. Sorry- I'd say out seeing nature. Well, no. Your favorite place is being in our ideal home, and we're currently pursuing that.

On our honeymoon

There you go! A view of me from the words of my husband! I'm so thankful he loves me!

God bless you and keep you,
~Raquel
